Celebrate the New Year!
The January 14th ArtWalk at Tyler Studio is exhibiting a tribute to Galveston’s San Jacinto Neighborhood. Sallie Anderson has created a series of beautiful watercolors. Her watercolors depict some of the homes of the San Jacinto Neighborhood. Like so much of Galveston, San Jac. is a resilient part of our history, dating back to the mid 1800s. The neighborhood was almost entirely wiped out by the 1900 Storm. The Historic Lost Bayou District also is contained within the San Jan neighborhood. Sallie’s skill and sensitivity as an artist comes together in this show. Sallie has captured the strength and promise of the human spirit in the homes that make up the community. So start out the New Year by visiting this wonderful watercolor display at Tyler Studio, 1201 Postoffice St. Also don’t miss Sallie’s handmade jewelry which is always on display.
The doors will open at noon and we will be open til 8pm. Sallie will be available to discuss her creations a 5 pm. See you at the Gallery. Susan
