By the time this newsletter goes out, I will have hosted the last Artwork for Galveston- Tyler Studio. I predict that I will be tired (they always tire me out), and a bit sad. Galveston is a wonderful place to be an artist- so much to paint! I have really enjoyed seeing you and the other patrons who have come into the Gallery to appreciate and purchase beautiful art.
I had planned on staying in Galveston for many years. But I found that my enthusiasm did not match the amout of work involved in running a Gallery and my stamina. When it comes down to it, I found running the Galley was a blessing and a curse. I was able to show interesting and exciting artist’s work– Sallie Anderson, Ruth Downes, Liz Hill, Victoria Narkin, Loretta Trevino, Sue Bown and so many more. The downside was the learning curve and that I had to be home to keep the Gallery open!–I had to be home all the time.
The past 5 years have forced me to grow up as an artist. I have been painting since I was 8 years old, but these past 5 years have really helped me refine my style. I love where I am at artistically. And I am almost giddy about my future. I will get to paint a lot!!!! I look forward to being able to devote all of my time to painting and nurturing others in their desire to create works of art.
So please stay in touch. I love to do commissions, so if you want a special specific painting–think of me.
I will post my work on Facebook, Instagram, American Fine Art, Pinterest and of course my web page www.tylerstudio.org. I will continue to offer free shipping for sales off my web page. Once I get my big studio built up there, I would love for you to come by. My place “Cuvee”, in Centerville. It is 2 hours north of Houston. In the meantime I will be painting in my “closet size” studio and watching the progress on the new big studio–with a smile on my face. Susan
