I am so happy to be able to spend some time in the studio. I have been occupied with way more domestic and yard activities than I am used to. Dee had a total knee replacement the middle of March. She has been an exemplary patient. Her Physical Therapists and physician are very impressed with her progress. She is already walking without a cane. I am so impressed at how hard she has worked to get her strength back. She is a far better man that I, Gunga Din !
Now back to the studio. I still have a lot of grass to cut, but at least I have been able to focus on some of my work in the Studio and on finishing this red trolley. As usual with my paintings, I have had a fun time doing this painting. I painted a green trolley a couple of months ago; it’s down at G Lee Gallery waiting for its cousin– the Red Trolley.” Downtown Loop “will be there by end of April.
I also want to say a few words about my friend Victoria Narkin. She is battling some significant health issues. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. I found the post card that we had made up for her show at Tyler Studio back in 2015. The show consisted of her portraits. She has a wonderful knack of capturing the character of the person in her paintings. I loved that show. I loved to walk through the gallery and study each of her watercolors while imagining what the person was like. My favorite painting was the Social Worker. I am really sorry that I didn’t buy it.
I hope all of you are safe. I am writing this while another line of tornados and severe thunderstorms makes its presence known to us. It looks like the tornados dipped south of Centerville again. Two weeks ago we had the same close call. Poor Madisonville. Take care each and everyone of you. I would love some feedback re “Downtown Loop”. Susan
