I want to remind everyone that each soul needs beauty. Beauty that the eyes behold, that the ear hears, that the heart feels. What you put on your walls helps nurture your soul and your mood.
Look around at your walls. Are your walls boring? Do you have paintings that speak to you? Do you have blank walls? Are the paintings on your walls current to your life today? Are they old faded prints that you got back in college and are really not you anymore. Are the paintings on your walls inherited and not your cup of tea, but too good to throw out. I can’t speak to a solution that is perfect for you, but I can tell you that the more you ignore your walls, the more your environment is failing you. You don’t listen to the same music all the time. Most people listen to different types of music. But even if you stick with one genre, you at least listen to a variety of songs. Well, think of the paintings on your walls as music. Music for your eyes, heart & soul.
If you have had the same paintings on your wall for years, you are probably not even looking at them anymore. You should change out your paintings. Put some of them in the attic for a while. Put new ones out. Change the painting locations in the house. You want to have paintings on your walls that carry you away to special places, places of your imagination, places that flood you with wonderful memories. You want to feel good when you look at them.
Why do you purchase paintings? I hope that you pick out works that capture your imagination, your memories, your dreams. Pick out paintings that make you smile. And by all means rotate your paintings at least twice a year.
Have a good rest of June, see you in July
Susan
