I am so happy to see the Trolleys back in Galveston. I managed to get some pics of both the green and red Trolleys. This is the first one that I have painted.
If you have been reading my blogs for a while… I have talked about how my brother Mike painted about 20 images of Trolleys. He no more finished the painting than it was sold. This was of course before Ike hit in the early 2000’s. He displayed his work at Celia’s Gallery on Post Office. Mike died in 2008 just before Ike hit. I miss him.
So of course while I was painting this image, I was talking to Mike. He had a lot to say and I will be painting more of these wonderful cars. I liked composition on Broadway and 25th– true Galveston. I am fixing to take the Trolley down to G Lee Gallery.
Below is one of many of Mike’s paintings of the Trolleys before Ike.
Hope that you enjoy Mardi Gras. Be sure to stop by G Lee Gallery, 2217 Strand, to see the “Trolley headed to the Seawall”. I post all of my work on my web page, be sure that you check it frequently. www.tylerstudio.org
