I am back, it has taken me a couple of weeks to get into the grove, but I think that I am there. I have cleaned out a lot of the clutter in the Salon and Studio. It is amazing how we accumulate, step over and don’t notice the unnecessary “stuff” in our environment and our lives. Going away for a month helped me “To See”. I came back with fresh rested eyes and a renewed spirit.
This Saturday (the 3rd Saturday of the month) we have another Open Model session. We have a new model, Lana. Vancie is out of town and Lana is one of her co-workers. It should be fun work with a new model. I am very pleased with the response to the model sessions. It meets one of the important brain growth aspects of creativity, social interaction & sharing. The sessions tend to be quite, but erupt into comfortable conversations during the breaks. The artists are focused on their work, but nurturing and interested in their fellow artists. It is a good ambiance!
I have seen Ruth Downes work for the Oct 3rd show. It is as worth seeing and appreciating. I am so pleased to have Ruth’s work in the fall line up for the Studio. Be sure the drop by for the Open House on the 3rd, or ArtWalk on the 10th. If you can’t make either of those dates, the Studio will be open from 2pm -6pm every Wed, Thur, Fri & Sat. See you soon.
