Taking in the warmth of the sun in Jerome Arizona, outside the Douglas Museum which tells the story of the Copper, gold and silver mining under the town of Jerome, Arizona. The mining thrived in the mid 1800s through the early 1900s. Bell Rock Formation Carmen, Dee, Me, Sharon Karrie & SandyWe had a wonderful time, exploring the beauty of Arizona and the joy of being with family & friends. I took thousands of pictures, well maybe not a thousand, but a bunch. I also took a journal and did some writing & sketches. I have some thoughts on the scenes and emotion of the beauty. I am looking forward to see how I will express the beauty of the area in my art . My thoughts are to start with some watercolors of the magnificent mountains, then progress to oil. The entire time that I was out there, I wished that I had my easel and paints. I rarely go more than a couple of days without painting, so to be in the face of all that beauty and only have a camera and journal/pen was a challenge for me. I guess I had better get busy now, painting. Susan
